Today, on July 3, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Chairman of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping took part in a ceremonial dispatch of trucks and railway containers along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.

Kazakh and Chinese trucks with cargo left Khorgos (PRC) on June 26, 2024, passed through 8 regions and arrived at the port of Kuryk on June 29.

"A freight caravan and a container train from China arrived at the ports of Aktau and Kuryk, they will head to Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey and European countries then. This is the revival of the Great Silk Road. The caravan is ready to depart," said Chairman of the Committee for Automobile Transport and Transport Control of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan Altai Ali via video call.
