Today, Port Kuryk successfully handled a shipment of submarine fiber-optic cable as part of the strategic Azerbaijan–Kazakhstan Sea Cable System project.
The oversized and heavy cargo was delivered by a convoy of three specialized vehicles. The port carried out the reception and handling of the equipment, which will subsequently be transported to the Republic of Azerbaijan for the construction of trans-Caspian digital infrastructure.
The project is aimed at developing international telecommunications corridors, strengthening digital connectivity between Asia and Europe, and enhancing the reliability and capacity of data transmission channels across Eurasia.
Port Kuryk continues to play an important role in providing transport and logistics support for major international infrastructure projects, contributing to the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route and reinforcing Kazakhstan’s position as a key transit hub between East and West.
